OUR HISTORY
OUR HISTORY
We commenced business as of the 5th of September 2016, after 9 years of running a successful childminding business from home. Our mix of unique leadership, management and highly trained staff provide the business with an engaging platform for all of our children, parents and staff.
We aim to provide the highest quality childcare whilst providing an exciting and challenging path of development for all of our children which results in us maximising your child’s potential at every stage.
2016
Creative Hands Childminding decommissioned after nine years running from home and after a lengthy but exciting renovation project, we officially opened the doors to Creative Hands Childcare.
We offered and continue to offer flexible sessions to cater for working and non-working parents and to meet the needs of the challenges of daily life.
Our staff recruitment and induction process was rigorous to ensure that we recruited the best we possibly could.
2019
We had our first ever Chinese exchange programme where a small number of children visited us for a week to take part in our normal pre-school activities. They shared many cultural elements between the children and we ended the week a special celebration ceremony.

Our second expansion to create a purpose built room for the babies in our care. This not only increased the available space for them but created a warm and creative environment that helps babies to settle quickly. We based the room on the Curiosity Approach and Reggio Emilia philosophy.
During the summer period we also upgraded the pre-school garden to enhance the opportunities available to them, including construction, small world, a nature discovery area as well as enhance the security and setting the foundation for forest school activities in the not too distant future.
2017
Our first year of operations were spent growing our presence and stabilising our staff and processes. Our occupancy increased three fold in 6 months.
We setup community links with the Children’s Air Ambulance who is still the main charity that we support.
2018
Our first expansion to create a new pre-school room, pre-school garden area as well as a new kitchen and dining area to enable us to provide hot lunches and teas to the children in our care.
Achieved a good rating with our Ofsted inspection in June.
